A stunningly bright, fruity and dry red of Merlot a charming estate in central Bordeaux. A new cuvée for the domaine made without any additions of sulfites. Organic grapes, harvested by hand and fermented immediately with isolated wild yeasts. Bottled fining, but given a light filtering, after aging in steel tanks. A small production wine for the estate, only 5000 bottles made.
Michel, a native of Alsace, and Isabelle Dietrich, from Champagne originally, bought Château Haut Rian in 1988. Previously Michel had been the lead winemaker at Château Remy. Their daughter Pauline Lapierre joined the team in 2017 and spearheaded the production of this particular cuvée. - Tristen Gild
